Musings & Tangents first started off as a serious political blog, but after two postings, I abandoned that idea.  Trying to be serious and developing well thought out opinions and analyses is hard work.  So, I decided to play to my strengths and use this as a forum to make fun of things.  This is a lot easier.  Also, I have enough background knowledge that a cursory glance at my opinions and writings will lead the viewer to think that I actually have something valid to say.  Please do not read deeply and question these writings, as I much prefer to ignore contradictions and falsehoods than explain them.

I promise to do my best to be irreverent, biased, and funny.  I can pretty much guarantee the first two, but that third one might be hit or miss.

If you feel the need to get in contact with me (and really, why wouldn’t you?), there are a few options:

• If you want to talk about an article, feel free to write a comment.  I check them often and generally respond quickly.  There’s a “Subscribe To Comments” button when you submit one that will send you email notifications when other people respond.  Don’t worry, I won’t sell your email address for two reasons:  1, the best way to lose one’s readers is to annoy them; and 2, I don’t know who I would sell them to.  Also, you can unsubscribe from the updates at any time through a link in the emails.

• If you want to talk to me about something else or want to make any suggestions, critiques, etc., you can email me at:  josh@musingsandtangents.com.  Be warned, I reserve the right to post your emails on the site if you say something remarkably stupid.
